蘋果公司的全球市場營銷高級副總裁Phil Schiller，去年在其個人Twitter上分享了一份由保安公司F-secure所發表的調查報告，揭示了當時有80%惡意Apps均指向Android。今年，這位老大哥再一次在Twitter上分享了一份保安調查報告，這次是來自網絡設備商巨頭Cisco的一份2014年年報。
該份報告主要是列示出了Cisco過去一年裡的成就，當中有一大部分篇幅是概述了網絡安全的問題。報告重點內容提到，在2013年裡的手機惡意程式裡，有99%是針對著Android這個平台，當中並沒有跡象顯示是針對某一部流行的裝置。這些惡意程式涉及了釣魚、騎劫、或者是要求連結到社交網站套取個人資料等。同時，還有71%的月戶會遭受到網頁服務相關形式的惡意程式攻擊，iPhone 用家占了14％。
而在分析手機惡意程式攻擊情況後，當中Android平台被攻擊的機會占了整體的79%，iOS 方面只有0.7%，可見Android的開放式系統，和iOS的封閉式系統在保安方面所帶來的影響有多大。
