對於有品牌情意結的人來講，喜歡Apple的話相信都對Samsung沒有什麼好感。但只可惜世事總是捉弄人的，因為就算你買的是iPhone，其內裡最重要的處理器組件還是有部份是出自 Samsung 的代工生產出來。今年iPhone 6s上的A9處理器由於分別採用了來自TSMC及Samsung的兩個版本，導致效率不一，甚至是有測試說Samsung版會少掉兩小時電力。對於這個「晶片門」事件，Apple 終作出了回應。
Apple 向 TechCrunch 的查詢時作出了正面的回應，指出iPhone 6s 及 6s Plus 上採用由Apple自行設計的A9處理器擁有世界最頂尖的技術，每片晶片都達到了Apple最高的要求，以帶來最強的處理效能。

回應同時還指出，現時坊間針對TSMC及Samsung兩間代工廠所生產的A9處理器的測試並非接近實現世界所使用的習慣，因為Apple已經透過大量真實的用戶使用數據作出分析，兩款處理器對於電池用量的差別只在2-3%，並沒有坊間測試中所說的接近兩小時那麼誇張。
